I would like to be able to upload custom dictionary that would be used on the right sidebar when I select a word (in Dictionary Mode) I am ukrainian, and I understand that Wikipedia and Logeion are pretty good as dictionaries. But I would like to be able to import custom dictionary to have a dictionary for my native language. I think that this feature can be implemented in "local" first way in a sense that the dictionary will not be stored on your services, but will be stored in IndexedDB and javascript will locally load a word definition from that dictionary. Current flow: User presses the word -> Usual request for wikipedia and logeion articles Proposed flow: User presses the word -> Usual request for wikipedia and logeion articles -> Request to Indexed DB for custom dictionaries -> From all custom dictionaries: -> Try to find the selected form of the word -> If there is no "exact" match, try to find the standard dictionary form of the word (based on the logeion/wikipedia articles)
It would be quite helpful be able select different dregrees of learning of a given word while reading like in LinQ or LUTE, so words that are barely recognized don't get mixed into the same category as words that are almost fully known. I thought three degrees would be enough, each marking the word in a different colour for example, and being able to select them with a hotkey: 1, 2 and 3 for example.
